Starting on September 8, I’ll be recording a new CD. My usual piano and vocals will be joined with the audio engineering skills of Peter Devins, the vocals and guitar stylings of Carrie Pazdziora, and the fantastic violin virtuosity of Øystein Torp, making an intimate but dynamic sound. The songs are new hymns and worship songs I’ve created over the years, and the chance to finally get good recordings of them is very exciting. The CD still needs a title, but the song list is pretty well set. Let me know what you think and if you have any ideas for a title:
Come Christians One and All Rejoice (Text: Martin Luther)
Bless Thou Jehovah (Text: R. A. Torrey)
Kyrie (With Broken Heart and Contrite Sigh) (Text: Cornelius Elven)
Alas and Did My Savior Bleed (Text: Isaac Watts)
And Can It Be (Wexford Carol) (Text: Charles Wesley)
Nailed to the Cross (Text: Carrie E. Breck)
Song of Deliverance (Text: Eric and Carrie)
Give To Our God Immortal Praise (Text: Isaac Watts)
Have Thine Own Way, Lord (Text: Pollard
Love Divine (Text: Charles Wesley)
Psalm 30 (Text: EP)
Immanuel (Text: C. H. Spurgeon)
Lord of the New Creation (Text: EP)
I’d appreciate it if you’d like to keep the project in your prayers, for both the technical side of things but especially for the spiritual aspect– I want these songs to reflect the kind of genuine worship that only comes through a Holy Spirit-inspired look at Jesus. I’ll keep you posted here, so be sure to subscribe if you haven’t done that yet. Thanks for stopping by, and stay tuned for more news!
(Oh, and any ideas for a title?)

really!?????? i am so excited to hear this cd! the recording pics look fun. i have a pop filter that samm made me out of um… well, panty-hose. so it’s really embarrassing. but yay for steinways and violins and cool hymns put to music. let me know how i get this music. hope you and carrie are doing great.
Thanks! I’ve heard your kind of pop filter is actually fairly common among do-it-yourselfers; we even used one on Carrie’s CD. The new CD should be ready for purchase in the not-too-distant future (right now it’s all mixing and mastering and other post-production stuff). I’ll be sure to keep you posted; this website of course is the best place to come for news.
